Migranten, die in Ungarn auf Asyl warten, können sich dort künftig nicht mehr frei bewegen. Das Parlament stimmte für die Schaffung von Transitzonen in Grenznähe.

Ungarn will alle Flüchtlinge im Land künftig in Transitzonen nahe der Außengrenzen festhalten, bis über ihr Asylverfahren endgültig entschieden wurde. Das Parlament in Budapest verabschiedete einen entsprechenden Gesetzentwurf am Dienstag mit den Stimmen der rechtskonservativen Regierung sowie der oppositionellen rechtsextremen Jobbik-Partei. Es ist den Asylbewerbern somit unmöglich, sich in Ungarn frei zu bewegen oder das Land zu verlassen, so lange ihr Verfahren läuft.

WIDAD MADRATI REMEMBERS the first snowfall at Oreokastro like most children would, as a thing of wonder. It threw a brilliant white cover over the squalor of a refugee camp pitched in the grounds of a disused warehouse in the hills above Greece’s second city, Thessaloniki. The 17-year-old Syrian did not mind that the water pipe to the outdoor sinks had frozen. She took photographs of the icicles.

The photos on her phone show nothing of the broken chemical toilets or the discarded, inedible food; nor of the flimsy tents pitched on freezing ground by refugees, like her family, who arrived too late to find a spot inside the concrete shell of the old warehouse. Instead, her photos show children playing in the snow.

Hace un par de días la Gendarmería marroquí informaba de que había logrado impedir la entrada de unos seiscientos inmigrantes irregulares a través de la valla de Ceuta. En las últimas semanas los intentos de alcanzar suelo europeo por la alambrada que rodea la ciudad autónoma se han convertido en una constante.

A mediados de febrero recibió en dos oleadas casi 900 personas. En 72 horas, una situación extraordinaria que amenaza con colapsar el Centro de Estancia Temporal de Inmigrantes (CETI) donde reciben techo, comida y asistencia sanitaria. Las imágenes muestran a los recién llegados eufóricos, lanzando gritos de alegría por haber logrado su objetivo. Pero también semidesnudos, descalzos y ensangrentados por las heridas que les ha causado la valla que protege la última frontera de Europa.

Los guardacostas turcos localizaron dos embarcaciones en las que había mujeres y niños de Siria, Irak, Irán y Marrueco

Al menos 130 inmigrantes han sido detenidos este domingo en aguas cercanas de la provincia turca de Esmirna, en la península de Anatolia, cuando intentaban cruzar el mar Egeo y alcanzar la isla griega de Quíos, según ha informado la Guardia Costera turca.

Los guardacostas turcos localizaron dos embarcaciones en las que había mujeres y niños de Siria, Irak, Irán y Marruecos, ha informado el diario turco ‚Daily Sabah‘ que cita fuentes de la propia Guardia Costera. Los inmigrantes han sido trasladados a la Dirección de Inmigración de Esmirna, desde donde serán previsiblemente deportados.

Las playas de las cinco provincias turcas del Egeo, Çanakkale, Balikesir, Esmirna, Mugla y Aydin son utilizadas por los refugiados e inmigrantes para intentar entrar en la UE. Las islas griegas se ven a simple vista desde la costa turca.

Number of displaced swollen by 45,000 who have fled city’s west since push to seize it from ISIL began, says NGO.

More than 200,000 people have been displaced as a result of the Iraqi forces‘ battle to retake the city of Mosul from ISIL that began in October, according to a Switzerland-based nongovernmental organisation.

The International Organisation for Migration (IOM) estimates, in a report released on Sunday, said 45,000 people have fled west Mosul since the push to seize it from ISIL, or the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant group, began in February.

More than 17,000 people arrived from west Mosul on February 28 alone, while over 13,000 came on March 3, according to the IOM.

Die Verteilung der Flüchtlinge aus Griechenland und Italien geht viel zu schleppend voran, kritisiert Grünen-Politikerin Keul. Das gehe auf Kosten der Integration. In Lesbos verbessere sich die Lage nur langsam.

In Griechenland warten noch immer rund 25.000 Flüchtlinge auf die zugesagte Umsiedlung in ein anderes EU-Land. Das geht aus einem Bericht der Grünen-Abgeordneten Katja Keul hervor, der der „Neuen Osnabrücker Zeitung“ vorliegt. „Die EU-interne Umsiedlung von Schutzsuchenden geht immer noch viel zu schleppend voran – auf Kosten der Flüchtlinge und ihrer Integration“, kritisierte Keul.

Die EU-Staaten hatten im September 2015 vereinbart, im Laufe von zwei Jahren rund 160.000 Flüchtlinge aus den Haupteinreiseländern Griechenland und Italien auf andere EU-Länder umzuverteilen. Deutschland muss nach dem berechneten Schlüssel rund 27.500 Asylsuchende aufnehmen.

Ab dem 25. Januar 2011 gingen die Menschen in Ägypten gegen die Militärdiktatur, die dort seit 1952 geherrscht hat, auf die Straßen. Ihre Forderungen waren ein menschenwürdiges Leben, Freiheit und soziale Gerechtigkeit. Die Revolte richtete sich gegen jahrzehntelang gewachsene autokratische und neoliberale Machtstrukturen.

Das Militär antwortete mit einer brutalen Konter-Revolution, die alle staatlichen Bereiche erfasst. Immer noch werden die damaligen Revolutionär*innen von der Militärregierung verfolgt. Neben Tausenden Toten und Verletzten sitzen heute mehr als 65.000 politische Gefangene in ägyptischen Knästen. Menschenrechtsorganisationen zufolge verschwinden täglich drei bis vier Menschen spurlos. Auch der politische Mord gehört zum Repertoire des Staates und wurde durch den Fall des Italieners Giulio Regeni international bekannt.

A group of African immigrants have been brutally killed by human smugglers in the western city of Sabratha, sources say.

15 illegal immigrants of African nationalities were found in a landfill inside Fanar forest near the sea with several shots in their bodies. 160 others are still missing and their fate is unknown.

The sources indicated that a brawl broke out between the immigrants and human smugglers over payment ahead of their sea journey to Europe has led to this heinous crime.

Sabratha is one of the cities that immigrants use to cross to Europe.

L’Allemagne et la Tunisie ont annoncé hier la signature d’un nouvel accord sur l’immigration, lors d’une visite de la chancelière Angela Merkel à Tunis. L’accord marque le dégel des relations entre Tunis et Berlin qui ont connu ces dernières semaines des crispations autour du cas d’Anis Amri, l’auteur présumé de l’attentat de Berlin.

«Cette convention (…) va satisfaire la Tunisie et va satisfaire l’Allemagne », a déclaré le président tunisien Béji Caïd Essebsi, cité par l’AFP, lors d’une conférence de presse commune avec Mme Merkel. L’accord ne porte «pas atteinte à la souveraineté de la Tunisie ou d’un autre pays », a-t-il assuré. L’accord «concerne environ 1500 Tunisiens », dont le titre de séjour a été refusé par l’Allemagne, et «des mesures seront prises dans les consulats tunisiens en Allemagne pour aider à leur identification », a précisé le président.

De son côté, la chancelière a indiqué que ce nouvel accord prévoit notamment que les demandes d’identification par Berlin des Tunisiens déboutés de leur demande d’asile devront recevoir une réponse «sous 30 jours ».

On February 28th 2017 the second level court hearing against ten of the Röszke 11 – all but Ahmed H., who was sentenced to ten years of prison in a separate trial – was held in Szeged. The only person remaining in Hungarian custody and therefore present at the court hearing was Yamen A. The other nine people have left Hungary some month ago and claimed asylum in other European countries. Albeit two of them left Europe under the “voluntary return” act due to the immense pressure imposed on them and the threat to deport them back to Hungary under the Dublin Regulation.
