Der Präsident der von der UN eingesetzten Regierung in Libyen dementiert, dass er die Entsendung italienischer Kriegsschiffe in libysche Gewässer angefordert habe. Vielmehr sei die Souveränität Libyens zu achten. Mehr Kriegsgerät sei willkommen, aber ein Eindringen in libysche Gewässer werde nicht geduldet.

Die europäischen Mächte verkündeten in den letzten Tagen Wunschpläne der Abschottung im Mittelmeer als kurzfristig realisierbar und nahmen offensichtlich Zuflucht zu Falschmeldungen. Die französische Regierung will vom Start ihrer Austeritätspolitik ablenken und wäre gern bei einer Eroberung Westlibyens dabei. Die italienische Regierung ist getroffen vom Rauswurf ihrer Rüstungskonzernanteile aus den französischen Waffenschmieden und fürchtet um ihre Vormachtstellung in ihrer ehemaligen Kolonie Libyen. Politiker der EU-Kommission fürchten dagegen um den Zugang der EU zu libyschem Öl und Gas und lassen verlauten, dass man das Mittelmeer nicht schliessen kann. Gut für die Boat-people.

In etlichen Ländern Europas gibt es nun heftige Debatten – die Europäische Kommission will Migrationsbewegungen über das Mittelmeer einschränken. In einem Faktencheck beantwortet der MEDIENDIENST wichtige Fragen zur Lage im Mittelmeer.

KOMMEN DERZEIT BESONDERS VIELE „WIRTSCHAFTSMIGRANTEN“ AN?

Italiens Premierminister Paolo Gentiloni hat kürzlich behauptet, 85 Prozent der Menschen, die aus Afrika nach Europa kommen, seien keine Flüchtlinge, sondern „Wirtschaftsmigranten“. Aktuelle Zahlen widersprechen jedoch dieser Aussage: Der Anteil der Asylbewerber, die in Italien Schutz erhalten, liegt nach Angaben des dortigen Innenministeriums derzeit bei rund 40 Prozent. Zwar ist die Zahl der positiven Asylentscheidungen zuletzt gesunken. Doch das sei kein Indiz dafür, dass die überwiegende Mehrheit der Antragsteller „Wirtschaftsmigranten“ seien, sagten Anwälte der italienischen Flüchtlingsorganisation „Diritti e Frontiere“ dem MEDIENDIENST. Viele negative Beschlüsse der zuständigen Behörden würden von den Gerichten gekippt.

PARIS — New allegations of routine police harassment of migrants in Calais surfaced Wednesday in a report detailing officers’ nearly daily use of pepper spray as well as limited access to food and the destruction of migrant shelters.

Human rights workers and around 60 migrants, nearly half under 18, told Human Rights Watch of daily identity checks, shortened hours for aid agencies to distribute food and unsanitary conditions caused by a lack of toilets and water.

When the world’s attention was grabbed by the G20 spectacle in Hamburg in early July, where those came together who are responsible for many current wars and conflicts in the world that prompt millions to flee, and who create and maintain barriers to the free movement of the world’s poor while reinforcing neo-liberal forms of capitalist exploitation, hardly anyone noticed some of the devastating consequences of their policies: the ongoing mass dying in the Mediterranean Sea.

On the 17th or 18th of June, more than 120 travellers are feared to have died in a shipwreck off the coast of Libya, with only a few survivors.[1] On the 4th of July, we learned about one of the largest recorded shipwrecks in the Western Mediterranean Sea. After drifting at sea for several days, up to 49 travellers seem to have drowned on their way to Spain, with only three survivors.[2] On the 7th of July, the NGO Sea-Watch found the remains of a capsized rubber boat, stating that ‘nobody can or wants to imagine the story behind it’.[3] One day later, on the 8th of July, at least 35 people, including seven children, seem to have drowned in the Central Mediterranean, when their boat sank off the coast of Libya. Fishermen rescued 85 people.[4] This year’s official death count stands at 2365 fatalities at sea.[5] These 2365 individuals lost their lives because of the bordered state of the world. Hegemonic governments, including those of the EU, profit from both the creation of unlivable living conditions in many parts of the world and the simultaneous criminalisation and deterrence of precarious travellers.

La France va créer dès cet été en Libye des hotspots», des centres d’examen pour les candidats à l’asile, a annoncé le président Emmanuel Macron ce matin en marge d’une visite d’un centre d’hébergement de réfugiés à Orléans (Loiret). «L’idée est de créer en Libye des hotspots afin d’éviter aux gens de prendre des risques fous alors qu’ils ne sont pas tous éligibles à l’asile. Les gens, on va aller les chercher. Je compte le faire dès cet été», avec ou sans l’Europe, a-t-il ajouté.

Macron l’Hypocrite, altro che Macron il Liberista. Dice di essere fermamente europeista, ma lo è a senso unico: quello della Francia. Parla di diritti di tutti, e soprattutto degli altri, poi si contraddice, difende innanzitutto i diritti suoi: applica cioè allegramente la vecchia pratica politica dei due pesi, due misure. Ovviamente, la misura francese conta più delle altre. Anzi: il giovane presidente francese sostiene di avere la ricetta per guarire l’Unione Europea. Promette di volerla “ridisegnare e riprogettare” per rinnovarla e riequilibrarla – i prefissi “ri” si sprecano nel lessico macroniano, ad uso e consumo degli elettori: a settembre si vota per il Senato e lì la partita non è in discesa come per le recenti amministrative, visto il brusco calo di popolarità. Al massimo, considera paritetico il rapporto con la Germania, mentre tratta l’Italia da subalterna, come i capitani delle squadre ciclistiche coi loro gregari, che nel gergo transalpino del pedale non a caso sono chiamati doméstiques. Domestici. Che stiano al loro posto e rispettino le gerarchie.

Comme nous vous l’annoncions, dans nos précédentes publications, les combats d’hier opposant le GATIA et la CMA, dans les localités avoisinantes de Kidal ont été très meurtriers. Ces affrontements se sont surtout concentrés dans les localités de Takalout, située à 40 km au sud-est de Kidal et Amassin, sise à 90 km au sud de la capitale de l’Adrar des Ifoghas. Le moins que l’on puisse dire c’est qu’une fois encore le bilan macabre a été très lourd.

De sources dignes, il y aurait au moins une vingtaine de morts dont la majorité est issue des rangs du GATIA. Ce mouvement, a d’ailleurs perdu plusieurs localités qui étaient sous son contrôle telles que Takalot, Koniba, Tiwraghene, Amassine.

S’y ajoute celle d’Anefis perdue depuis les combats du 11 juillet dernier. Ainsi, au nombre des victimes figurent entre autres Rhissa Ag Bissada, l’un des chefs militaires du MNLA, Ahmed Cheick dit Intakarde, un officier déserteur de l’armée malienne, actuellement chef militaire du GATIA.

Zur Unterstützung der libyschen Küstenwache – Bis zu 1.000 Personen sollen eingesetzt werden

Rom – Italien will der libyschen Übergangsregierung um Premier Fayez al-Serraj sechs Schiffe zur Verstärkung von Libyens Küstenwache zur Verfügung stellen. Die italienischen Schiffe sollen zwischen 50 und 200 Personen Besatzung an Bord haben. Noch vor Beginn der Sommerpause Anfang August soll das Parlament in Rom der Entsendung der Schiffe nach Libyen zustimmen.

Die italienischen Schiffe sollen bei der Kontrolle der libyschen Küsten eingesetzt werden, wie die Mailänder Tageszeitung „Corriere della Sera“ am Donnerstag berichtete. Ziel sei es, die Flüchtlingsabfahrten von Libyen zu stoppen. Geplant sei auch die Einrichtung einer italienischen Taskforce, die mit den libyschen Behörden zusammen die Einsätze im Mittelmeer koordinieren soll. Zugleich sollen gemeinsame Initiativen zur Kontrolle der Grenzen in Libyen ergriffen werden.
