At least seven people have drowned after a boat carrying sans-papiers migrants to the Greek islands sank in the Aegean Sea on Monday, Turkish officials said.
The migrant boat was heading to Greeceâs Kos Island when it capsized off the Datca Gulf in Mugla. According to initial reports, there were around 20 people on board.

Σκάφος, που κατεθυνόταν στο νησί της Κω μεταφέροντας 20 μετανάστες, ναυάγησε, με αποτέλεσμα να πνιγούν τουλάχιστον επτά άνθρωποι.
Σύμφωνα με Τούρκους αξιωματούχους, το σκάφος ναυάγησε κάτω από αδιευκρίνιστες μέχρι στιγμής συνθήκες.
Μετά από επιχείρηση των τουρκικών αρχών, διασώθηκαν εννέα μετανάστες καιn εντοπίστηκαν επτά νεκροί, οι οποίοι ήταν Σύροι και Ιρακινοί.
Οι έρευνες των τουρκικών αρχών στην περιοχή συνεχίζονται με δύο ελικόπτερα, δύο πλοία και μία λέμβο, προκειμένου να εντοπιστούν και να διασωθούν οι αγνοούμενοι μετανάστες.
