Derzeit fährt anscheinend täglich eine Fähre zwischen Tripoli (Libanon) und Mersin (Türkei) mit 1.000 bis 1.500 syrischen Flüchtlingen. Sie kommen zumeist direkt aus Syrien nach Tripolis angereist. Das heisst, wir haben inzwischen eine Fluchtroute von Homs bis Berlin in vielleicht 10 Tagen.

Eritrean man in his 20s killed attempting to reach the UK is the fourth refugee death at port of Calais in two weeks
An Eritrean man in his 20s has been killed after he was run over by a freight train at the Channel tunnel in Calais as he attempted to find a way to reach the UK.
He was found dead by security staff at about 1am, the Calais police authority said. It is the fourth refugee death in the French port in the past two weeks, as people attempt to get to Britain by stowing away on lorries bound for ferries or accessing the tunnel entrance.

Un presidio “No Border” di circa 150 persone tra migranti e attivisti dei centri sociali è stato sgomberato dalle forze dell’ordine. E a Ventimiglia i migranti sono tornati a occupare gli scogli. L’area, sequestrata con un decreto della procura di Imperia, è vicino alla scogliera che dal giugno scorso è simbolo della protesta di chi chiede di poter attraversare la Francia per raggiungere il nord Europa. “Era una misura chiesta da tempo anche dalla popolazione” ha detto il sindaco Enrico Ioculano – Finalmente la magistratura ha deciso il sequestro dell’area”.

The EU naval operation against human smugglers in the Mediterranean will be able to board, search, seize and divert vessels suspected of being used for human smuggling or trafficking on the high seas, in line with international law.
Seit einiger Zeit bewegen sich in der Türkei tausende von Migrant_innen in Richtung der griechischen und bulgarischen Grenzen. Sie demonstrieren damit für eine sichere Einreise und sprechen sich gegen den beschwerlichen und oft tödlichen Weg über die Ägäis aus. Dabei begleiten sie auch viele Menschen solidarisch.
Am 21. September griff die Polizei eine Gruppe von 500 Migrant_innen an, die auf dem Weg von der Busstation Esenler nach Edirne waren. Dabei nahm sie fünf Personen in Gewahrsam, davon drei mit syrischen Papieren und jeweils eine Person mit deutschen und eine mit französischen Dokumenten. Obwohl von allen Festgenommen keine Aussage aufgenommen wurde, scannten die türkischen Behörden die Ausweise aller fünf Personen und reichten diese nicht anonymisiert an die Presse weiter, inklusive diverser Vorverurteilungen und Anschuldigungen.

Anschläge und Morddrohungen treffen Asylsuchende, aber auch deren Unterstützer, Beamte und Politiker
Auch 25 Jahre nach der Wiedervereinigung erscheint Deutschland teilweise weiterhin tief gespalten. Ähnlich wie in den 1990er Jahren wächst die verbale und reale Gewalt gegen Flüchtlinge und Migranten – zugleich begrüßen und beklatschen Menschen die Asylsuchenden bei ihrer Ankunft, wächst die Bereitschaft, sich ehrenamtlich in der Flüchtlingshilfe zu engagieren. Die Zivilisations- und Empathiemauern verlaufen jedoch nur zum Teil zwischen Ost und West. Wird es also wieder tiefbraun im Kaltland, expandieren die rechte Szene und an deren Rändern die Extremisten der Mitte?
