A group of about 400-500 migrants began another March of Hope today (04.10.2016) from Belgrade to the Serbian-Hungarian border. At the time of writing they are in the vicinity of Stara Pazova. They are moving under the oversight of the Serbian police and members of the controversial government comessariat for/against refugees. Some of the march’s participants are considering a return to Belgrade, due to the exhaustion and relentless pressures they are subject to. We count the media-spins amongst these pressures, malicious reporting in the style of Milorad Komrakov. In the late afternoon, the police forbid the marchers any access to any store in order to purchase necessary goods, as well as banning any food distribution by NGOs.

More than 10,000 refugees have been rescued off Libya and Italy in series of operations in the past 48 hours. At least 142,000 migrants have reached Italy since the start of the year and about 3,100 have died making the trip. Präsident Nikolic: Wenn Ungarn, Österreich und Slowenien entsprechende Schritte setzen

Belgrad hat zum ersten Mal eine komplette Schließung seiner Staatsgrenzen für Flüchtlinge in Aussicht gestellt. Er werde dies der Regierung vorschlagen, wenn Ungarn, Österreich und Slowenien entsprechende Schritte setzen, sagte Staatspräsident Tomislav Nikolic der Zeitung „Vecernje novosti“ (Dienstagsausgabe).

Serbien könne nicht zu einem Trichter werden, aus dem kein Wasser mehr abfließe, sagte Nikolic. Daher werde man trotz des Wunsches, Flüchtlingen zu helfen, die Grenzen schließen müssen. Diese wollten nämlich ohnehin nicht in Serbien bleiben, sagte er. Außerdem müsse Serbien nicht mehr als 5.000 bis 6.000 Flüchtlinge aufnehmen, sagte der Präsident offenbar in Anspielung auf das angedachte europäische Flüchtlingsquotensystem.

Wie viele afghanische Flüchtlinge kamen zuletzt nach Deutschland?

Ganz genau kann dies niemand beantworten. Nach den Zahlen der Erstaufnahme-Einrichtungen der Bundesländer wurden von Januar 2015 bis in den August 2016 aus Afghanistan gut 197.000 Männer, Frauen und Kinder als Asylsuchende registriert. Doch nur 90.000 von ihnen haben bisher auch einen Antrag auf Asyl gestellt.

Rund tausend Menschen in Holzboot zusammengepfercht

Bei der Überfahrt über das Mittelmeer sind am Dienstag mindestens 28 Flüchtlinge ums Leben gekommen. Mindestens 22 von ihnen starben auf einem völlig überladenen Holzboot vor der libyschen Küste, wie ein Fotograf der Nachrichtenagentur AFP berichtete. In dem Schiff waren demnach rund tausend Menschen zusammengepfercht.

Der AFP-Reporter, der an Bord des Holzbootes gehen konnte, zählte dort mindestens 22 Tote, allerdings wurden noch weitere Todesopfer im Laderaum des Schiffes befürchtet. Die meisten von ihnen erstickten in der Enge.

Belgrade says it will not erect wire border fence but will deploy army to seal off borders with Macedonia and Bulgaria

Hundreds of refugees stranded in Serbia have begun walking from Belgrade towards the border with Hungary to protest against its closure for most people trying to reach the European Union.

More than 6,000 people remain stuck in Serbia following Hungary’s introduction this summer of strict limits on the number of refugees allowed to cross into the EU-member country and reinforced a razorwire border fence with heavy patrols.

An EU-bound boat carrying two Libyan families has capsized off Sabratha coast killing all on board, local authorities have reported.

Sabratha Coast Guard said several bodies washed ashore on Monday while search for others are still ongoing.

„The total number of bodies is still unclear because the search is still continuing,“ Basem Gharabli, Chief of Sabratha Coast Guard declared.

Del total de personas que arribaron en la patera, todos varones y, según dijeron, con origen en Sidi Ifni (Marruecos), 19 son menores.

Una patera con 22 ocupantes de origen magrebí arribó durante la mañana de ayer a la zona de Órzola, dentro del término municipal de Haría (Lanzarote), según informó a Europa Press el Centro Coordinador de Emergencias y Seguridad (Cecoes) 112.

Fue la Guardia Civil, a través del SIVE, la que alertó sobre las 11:00 horas de la llegada de una embarcación con una veintena de varones, por lo que se movilizó al Servicio de Urgencias Canario (SUC) y a Cruz Roja, que atendieron a los inmigrantes. Hasta el lugar acudieron también miembros de la Policía Local de Haría y de la Policía Nacional, que colaboraron con el dispositivo desplegado.

Libyan patrols intercepted some 1,425 migrants trying to cross the Mediterranean to Europe over the past two days, a naval spokesman said on Friday.

Ayoub Qassem said about 1,050 migrants on seven inflatable boats were turned back early on Wednesday. Most were from sub-Saharan African countries and about one third were women and children, he said.

On Thursday two more rubber boats were intercepted with about 300 people on board, as well as three small wooden boats carrying a total of about 75 people.
