Des avions sans pilotes, autrement dit des drones, survolent actuellement l’ouest lémanique de nuit pour surveiller nos frontières selon La Côte.

Cette situation n’est pas nouvelle, mais durant l’été cette surveillance nocturne s’accroît. Et le vrombissement la nuit de ces drones, qui sont presque de la taille d’un avion de tourisme, surprend les habitants de la région.

Arrestations

Ces drones, équipés de caméras thermiques, surveillent régulièrement toute la région au profit du Service des douanes avec des résultats.

Des cambrioleurs ont été arrêtés, des immigrés clandestins ont été interpellés. En effet, les caméras thermiques signalent toute présence humaine ou animale, mais pas en détail. Ainsi, le journal précise que les amateurs de galipettes en forêt peuvent continuer à s’ébattre en toute quiétude.

Libya – IOM is today conducting a one day inter-ministerial workshop in Tripoli to develop a strategic action plan for Libya in the field of migration.

The session aims to identify migration priorities to guide the development of future policies and programmes related to migration, and will reflect Libyan national interests, applicable human rights guarantees, and support for the socio-economic development of the country.

Eight Libyan ministries with migration functions are set to attend. They include the Ministries of Interior, Foreign Affairs, Labour and Capacity Building, Health, Finance, Justice, Defence and Social Affairs. Participants will agree on a draft outline strategic action plan.

Time to end the EU’s left-to-die policy

Researchers participating in the reconstruction of the 2011 “Left-to-die boat” case in which 63 migrants lost their life under NATO’s eyes, summarize three years of inconclusive demands for disclosure and justice. As the European Council addresses the EU’s long-term migration policy, they say deaths of migrants at sea will continue short of ending the EU’s policy of closure towards non-European migrants.

am 3. Juni hat Bashar al-Assad wenig überraschend die Präsidentschaftswahlen in Syrien gewonnen. Die offizielle Wahlbeteiligung lag bei 73%, was angesichts der großen Massenflucht in und aus Syrien Zweifel aufrufen mag. Assads Wahlkampagne lief unter dem Motto „Gemeinsam“; die anhaltende Fassbombenkampagne in mehreren Landesteilen von Syrien straft dieses Motto täglich Lügen. Erst vergangene Woche wurde ein Binnenflüchtlingslager nahe der jordanischen Grenze bombardiert – nachts. Dies kostete dutzende Menschen das Leben. Das Regime hält unvermindert an der Maxime fest: Entweder für oder gegen uns.

450 Kilometer marschieren sie – von Straßburg nach Brüssel. So wollen die Flüchtlinge auf ihre Notlage aufmerksam machen. Aus ihrer Heimat sind sie unter abenteuerlichen Umständen geflohen, haben alles zurückgelassen. Nur manche von ihnen erreichen ihr Ziel: Europa. Doch hier haben sie keine Aufenthaltsgenehmigung und landen in völlig überfüllten Auffanglagern. Als im vergangenen Oktober hunderte Flüchtlinge vor der italienischen Insel Lampedusa ertranken, versprachen Politiker, alles zu tun, um die Lage zu verbessern. Viel passiert ist seitdem nicht. Und der EU sind quasi die Hände gebunden. Katrin Matthaei berichtet über die Situation der Flüchtlinge.“

Wäh­rend US Aus­sen­mi­nis­ter Kerry in Bag­dad ge­lan­det ist, um zu son­die­ren, wie­viel von dem Por­zel­lan, dass Nuri al-​Ma­li­ki in den letz­ten Jah­ren im Irak zer­schla­gen hat, sich viel­leicht wie­der kit­ten lässt und nur we­ni­ge Me­di­en die Sim­pli­fi­zie­rung „ISIS vor Bag­dad“ mit An­nä­he­run­gen an die Rea­li­tät im Irak durch­bre­chen( die meis­ten deutsch­spra­chi­gen Bei­trä­ge, die dies tun, fin­det ihr auf diesem blog), schla­gen sich die Men­schen in Sy­ri­en seit Jah­ren schon mit den Fa­schis­ten von „Is­la­mi­scher Staat im Irak und in der Le­van­te“ herum.
