Plus de 1200 ressortissants marocains expulsés d’Espagne en 2016

En 2016, l’Espagne a procédé à l’expulsion de 1237 ressortissants marocains qui se trouvaient illégalement en Espagne, précise le quotidien Akhbar Al Youm dans sa livraison du jeudi 18 Mai.

C’est un vaste coup de filet migratoire que viennent d’opérer les autorités ibériques. Citant des chiffres du ministère de l’intérieur Espagnol, la publication précise qu’il s’agit de la plus nombreuse communauté expulsée du territoire espagnol. Un grand nombre, soit 1219, a été expulsé vers le Maroc via Sebta, tandis que 18 autres l’ont été via Melilia. Le retour de 868 ressortissants algériens s’est par ailleurs effectué via Alméria.

Selon des rapports espagnols cités par Akhbar Al Youm, ce refoulement vers le pays d’origine ne concerne pas seulement les sans-papiers, mais aussi des migrants auteurs de crimes, impliqués dans des affaires de trafic de drogue, ou encore de terrorisme. Et de noter que le nombre de migrants marocains expulsés en 2016 a nettement diminué par rapport à 2012, où pas moins de 1638 ressortissants ont été refoulés dans 99 opérations, effectués via les présides occupés de Sebta et Melilia.

Tataouine : nouveau tir de sommation pour repousser les manifestants

L’armée nationale a effectué un nouveau tir de sommation suite à la tentative des manifestants à El Kamour de s’accéder à l’unité de contrôle du pompage de gaz. 

D’importants renforts militaires viennent d’arriver sur place et la tension est palpable.

La ville de Tataouine connait aussi une suspension totale de la circulation après la fermeture des routes en signe de solidarité avec les manifestants a indiqué le correspondant de Mosaïque FM Habib Chaabani.

Libya receives refurbished patrol boats from Italy

Italy formally handed over four refurbished Bigliani-class patrol boats to Libya’s Tripoli-based coastguard on 15 May as part of an effort to stem illegal immigration from North Africa to Europe, the Italian Foreign Ministry announced.

It added that the four patrol boats were repaired in Gaeta, Italy and that by June the Libyan Coast Guard will receive another six patrol boats of an unidentified type that are being repaired in Tunisia, making it the „strongest [coastguard] in North Africa“.

Six Bigliani boats that were originally built for Italy’s Guarda di Finanza were transferred to the Libyan Coast Guard in 2009-10.

Un vertice con i ministri dell’interno di Libia, Ciad e Niger per gestire il monitoraggio dei confini meridionali libici, porta d’ingresso del 90 per cento dei migranti. Domani il titolare del Viminale incontrerà a Roma i suoi tre omologhi africani per stoppare la rotta del Sud e affrontare l’emergenza dal suo punto d’origine La frontiera a Sud della Libia, appunto.

È triplice il raggio d’azione voluto dal ministro Marco Minniti contro il traffico di esseri umani. Prima ancora dell’accoglienza nelle nostre città – oggetto ieri della firma del protocollo con i sindaci lombardi -, prima ancora del controllo delle partenze dalle coste della Libia, c’è proprio l’allarme lungo i 5 mila chilometri al confine con Ciad e Nigeria. Mentre la guardia costiera libica, entro fine mese, avrà a disposizione tutte e dieci le motovedette ristrutturate dal nostro Paese e mentre il protocollo sulle nuove strategie per l’accoglienza firmato ieri da 76 sindaci dell’hinterland milanese viene definito ritenuto da Minniti «un modello per l’Italia e per l’Europa», il suo impegno è focalizzato dove tutto ha inizio.

Innerhalb eines Tages sind rund 2.300 Flüchtlinge auf der zentralen Mittelmeerroute zwischen Afrika und Europa aus Seenot gerettet worden.

Die Menschen seien unter anderem in Schlauchbooten unterwegs gewesen, teilten die italienischen Behörden mit. An der Rettung hätten sich Schiffe der Küstenwache, des EU-Marineeinsatzes „Eunavfor“ und von Nichtregierungsorganisationen beteiligt.

Libya’s National Oil Corporation chief also claims Wintershall colluded with unlawful efforts by Libyan government to take over sale of oil contracts

A German oil producer has been accused by the head of Libya’s National Oil Corporation of withholding more than $900m (£697m) from the Libyan state and colluding with unlawful efforts by Libya’s UN-backed government to take over the sale of the country’s vastly profitable oil contracts. The power struggle between the NOC and Wintershall – which denied that it owed any money and said it had always met its obligations to the state – has long-term implications for global oil prices and the Libyan economy, since more than 80% of Libyan state revenues derive from oil. Despite Libya’s political crisis, oil production has been gradually increasing of late, reaching 800,000 barrels per day. The NOC is seen as one of the few bipartisan Libyan institutions capable of keeping out of the political infighting that has dogged the country since Muammar Gaddafi fell in 2011. Libya was producing 1.6m barrels per day before the uprising, and the NOC has said output in 2017 could reach between 1.1m and 1.2m barrels per day if political obstacles are removed.

The NOC argued that the battle with Wintershall, and the support the company has enjoyed from the UN-backed government, was vital to its ability to keep control of decisions on oil contracts away from politicians, and ensure that the maximum amount of revenue reaches the state coffers.

Axel Grafmanns: Ich bin in der ehemaligen Deutschen Demokratischen Republik aufgewachsen, darum weiß ich genau, was es heißt, an einer tödlichen Grenze zu leben. Das ist einer der Gründe die dazu führen, mich für die humanitäre Mission von Sea-Watch zu engagieren. Papst Franziskus, der hier in Rom im Vatikan seinen Sitz hat, sagte am 27. November des Jahres 2014: „Wir dürfen nicht hinnehmen, dass das Mittelmeer zu einem riesigen Friedhof wird.“ Zu diesem Zeitpunkt lief die Operation „Mare Nostrum“ aus und in diesem Zeitraum wurde Sea-Watch gegründet.

Unser Verein wurde also von drei Familien gegründet, die dem Sterben im Mittelmeer nicht länger tatenlos zusehen wollten. Also entschlossen sie sich, etwas zu unternehmen. Viele haben uns anfangs ausgelacht. Es klang verrückt, mit einem alten Krabbenkutter in das Mittelmeer zu fahren und Search and Rescue zu betreiben. Wir hatten von Anfang auch die Idee des „Watch“ – die Bilder des Elends nach Europa und Deutschland zu bringen. Mittlerweile rettet Sea-Watch e.V. viele Menschenleben.

Zu sagen, Italien habe ein Migrantionsproblem, ist stark untertrieben. Mehr als 45.000 Migranten sind allein in diesem Jahr schon mit dem Boot von der Küste Libyens über das Mittelmeer gekommen. Die Aufnahmezentren, in denen 175.000 Flüchtlinge leben, platzen aus allen Nähten.

TUNIS/BERLIN taz | Deutschland prüft einen Forderungskatalog der libyschen Einheitsregierung zur Aufrüstung der libyschen Küstenwache zwecks Eindämmung der Fluchtbewegungen über das Mittelmeer Richtung Europa. Dies bestätigt die Bundesregierung in ihren Antworten auf eine schriftliche Frage und eine kleine Anfrage von Bundestagsabgeordneten der Linken, die der taz vorliegen.

Während Libyens Premier Fayez Serraj für die mit ihm verbündeten Milizen um Krankenwagen und medizinische Ausrüstung bittet, umfasst die Forderungsliste für die Küstenwache, die am 22. Februar an die EU-Kommission ging und jetzt von Deutschland, der EU und EU-Mitgliedstaaten geprüft wird, auch bewaffnete Patrouillenboote – hochseetaugliche Fregatten, die mit schweren Waffen gegen Schmuggler vorgehen könnten, auch außerhalb der Küstengewässer. „Auf See variiert der Bedarf zwischen wenigen 80 bis 100 Meter langen Hochseepatrouillenbooten, einigen mittelgroßen Patrouillenbooten, 30 bis 60 Meter lang, für die Hoheitsgewässer, und einer Großzahl an 7 bis 18 bzw. 10 bis 15 Meter langen Festrumpfschlauchbooten“, schreibt die Bundesregierung in ihrer Antwort an den Linken-Abgeordneten Andrej Hunko.
