Flüchtlingscamp in Berlin-Kreuzberg

„Wir haben sie gebaut, wir reißen die Hütten auch wieder ab“, sagt ein Flüchtling. Doch nicht alle geben das Camp freiwillig auf – nun wurde es geräumt.

BERLIN taz | Um 6.55 Uhr am Dienstagmorgen kommt die SMS: „Alarm! Der Oranienplatz wird geräumt.“ Seit Monaten fürchteten viele in Berlin, Innensenator Frank Henkel (CDU) werde seine Drohung wahr machen und das Protestcamp der Flüchtlinge in Kreuzberg schließen. Jetzt scheint es so weit zu sein. Doch die Lage an diesem Morgen ist kompliziert: Nur ein paar Zivilpolizisten sind vor Ort – es sind Flüchtlinge, die die Zelte und Hütten des Camps abreißen, das in den 18 Monaten seines Bestehens zum Symbol für die Flüchtlingsproteste schlechthin geworden ist.

Asif Syed under threat of Dublin III deportation: I am 10 thousand.

Since 1. of April 2014, Asif Syed, Refugee activist, since one year in Germany, is under threat in any moment to be deported to Hungary according to the Dublin III Regulation. In the last few months thousands of asylum seekers
in Germany were reached by Dublin procedures, which could result soon in thousands of Dublin deportations, most of them to Hungary, Italy and Poland, where the Asylum seekers already have been target of ihnuman and degrading tretments.

Berlin join in solidarity the protest against Dublin III already begun in Frankfurt am Main ( 8 of April – 2.30 pm Central Station) and in other german cities.
No-one will be left alone facing this threat to his/her own life and dignity. Time to stop it and make the Dublin Rule illegal!

From Monday, April 14, 2014 – 2 pm – Permanent sit-in – Berlin Pariser Platz in front of the European Union Representation.

The number of people rescued at sea by Italy in 2014 is high but not unexpected.
In light of the situation at Europe’s doorstep, the Syrian crisis and the instability of many countries in North Africa, it would  have been far from impossible to foresee an increase of migrants‘ and asylum seekers‘ arrivals. This is confirmed by Frontex risk analysis on the third trimester, i.e. summer 2013, according to which the number of arrivals by sea was increasing.

Libysche Milizen sollen für Menschenrechtsverletzungen verantwortlich sein. Zur Abwehr von Flüchtlingen werden sie von deutschen Polizisten trainiert.Es gibt auch eine reguläre Armee in Libyen.

Deutsche Polizisten trainieren den libyschen Grenzschutz, obwohl der aus Milizen besteht, die teils schwere Menschenrechtsverletzungen begehen. Das geht aus einer Antwort des Auswärtigen Amtes auf eine Anfrage der Linken hervor.

4.2. Joint return operations coordinated by FRONTEX
As part of operational cooperation measures between Member States, States increasingly used joint flights for removal. In this context, the FRONTEX agency played an important role as a vehicle for promoting joint return operations. Between 2006 and December 2013, FRONTEX coordinated 209 Joint Return Operations (JROs) returning 10 855 people. 11 Since 2007, FRONTEX has provided standardised training for return officers focusing on safeguarding returnees’ fundamental rights and dignity during forced return operations.12 Since Article 8(6) of the Return Directive on forced return monitoring became binding in 2010, half of all JROs have been the subject of monitoring by independent monitors who were physically present from the start of the operation until arrival at the airport of destination. To date, these monitors have not reported any violation of returnees’ fundamental rights.
