EU and Tunisia establish their Mobility Partnership
Tunisia and the EU today formally established a Mobility Partnership. A joint declaration was signed by Cecilia Malmström, EU Commissioner for Home Affairs, Mr Tahar Cherif, Tunisian Ambassador to Belgium and the European Union, and the Ministers of the ten EU Member States involved in the Partnership: Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Sweden and the United Kingdom.

„Llega a Melilla una patera con 15 inmigrantes, la segunda en 24 horas
Melilla ha registrado la segunda llegada de una patera en dos días a pesar de sufrir rachas de vientos superiores a los 80 kilómetros por hora. Según ha informado la Delegación, se trata de una embarcación neumática, con 15 inmigrantes a bordo, logró esta madrugada acceder a Melilla, sobre la 01.45 horas, por la zona del puerto comercial, a la altura del antiguo faro.

Ceuta: Brief summary of conversations with a group of Camerounese migrants who entered Ceuta on the 6th of February
In the early morning of the 6th of February in Castillago/Fnideq, next to the border of Ceuta, a group of 400 migrants, mostly Camerounese, achieved to swim around the fence which seperates Ceuta from Morocco and entered into Spanish water, though they were being attacked by Moroccan police. The Guardia Civil attacked the migrants when they arrived at the brigde in front of the gate to Ceuta, at a point where they were still in Morocco. The Guardia Civil also had a small boat with a Spanish flag from which they were pumping teargas into the water, hitting the people with sticks and driving over the people who were swimming.

Malta proposes EU office in Libya to consider asylum applications
The idea of an office in Libya to process asylum applications has been put forward by Maltese Minister of Home Affairs Manuel Mallia.
Such an office, run under the auspices of the EU, could help stem the flow of illegal immigrants who make the dangerous journey to Europe in unsafe vessels, according to the Times of Malta.
If migrants could apply for European asylum in Libya and find out if they would be accepted, fewer would have to pay criminal gangs to help them attempt to cross the Mediterranean, he said.

Coastguard rescues over a hundred migrants
The Libyan Coastguard rescued 107 migrants, including 20 women and a baby, some 20 miles off the coast of Tripoli last night.
Prior to the rescue, seven people in the boat died after being thrown into the sea, according to Libyan news agency LANA. Navy Chief of Staff spokesman, Ayoub Omar Qasim said those rescued, who had been trying to get to Europe, were taken to holding centres in Tripoli, from where they would be deported to their home countries.

Stop a las expulsiones ilegales. No a la reforma de la Ley de Extranjería
El Ministro del Interior ha anunciado cambios en la Ley de Extranjería para permitir las expulsiones sumarias y colectivas. En lugar de hacer una investigación sobre las muertes de migrantes en Ceuta y parar las expulsiones ilegales, las autoridades quieren cambiar la ley para permitir estas prácticas que violan derechos humanos.
