Pushed Back – völkerrechtswidrige Zurückweisungen von Flüchtlingen an der griechisch-türkischen Land- und Seegrenze
An der griechisch-türkischen Landgrenze werden Flüchtlinge systematisch völkerrechtswidrig zurückgewiesen. PRO ASYL hat die systematischen Push Backs in dem Bericht „Pushed Back – systematic human rights violations against refugees in the aegean sea and the greek-turkish land border“ dokumentiert. Abgesehen von wenigen Ausnahmen fanden alle dokumentierten Push Backs im Operationsgebiet von Frontex statt. PRO ASYL stellt die Frage nach der Beteiligung von Frontex an den Menschenrechtsverletzungen und fordert: Frontex muss seine Operationen in Griechenland beenden. Jegliche europäische Finanzierung von Flüchtlingsabschreckung in Griechenland muss umfänglich evaluiert werden.

Europas Grenzschützer sollen Flüchtlinge künftig auf dem Meer stoppen und zurückschieben können. Das sieht ein Reformvorschlag der EU-Kommission vor.
taz | Die EU-Grenzschutzagentur Frontex soll in Zukunft auf dem Meer aufgegriffene oder aus Seenot gerettete Flüchtlinge direkt in Länder außerhalb Europas zurückschieben dürfen – ohne dass sie vorher einen Asylantrag stellen können. Auch das Stoppen, Durchsuchen und Abdrängen von Booten mit Papierlosen auf Hoher See, also außerhalb der europäischen Hoheitsgewässer, soll den Grenzschützern künftig ausdrücklich erlaubt sein.

Jordan’s restrictions on refugees from Syria reveal strain on host countries
International support is needed to help Jordan end border restrictions on refugees fleeing the armed conflict in Syria, said Amnesty International. According to a new report published today hundreds fleeing to Jordan and other neighbouring countries are being turned back at borders.

Aujourd’hui, les associations espagnoles du réseau Migreurop soutienne une plainte contre l’Etat espagnol devant la Cour Européenne de Droits de l’homme portée par deux ressortissantes du Cameroun.

[EN] A year ago, 73 migrants arrived on the Spanish island of Tierra and then collectively deportated to Morocco. Today, the Spanish associations of Migreurop support a complaint against the Spanish government to the European Court of Human rights carried by two nationals of Cameroon.

España demanda ante el Tribunal Europeo de Derechos Humanos por la expulsión colectiva de 73 inmigrantes de Isla de Tierra
Fueron expulsados colectivamente sin acceso al procediendo de asilo y de extranjería a Marruecos, país dónde se viola sistemáticamente los derechos humanos de las personas refugiadas y migrantes. Ambas actuaciones están expresamente prohibidas por el Convenio Europeo de Derechos Humanos.
Unter Regie und Kontrolle der italienischen Küstenwache hat ein libyscher Öltanker 174 syrische Flüchtlinge in internationalen Gewässern aufgebracht und nach Libyen verschleppt. Es gibt keine Angaben darüber, ob diese syrischen Flüchtlinge jemals zuvor in Libyen waren. In Libyen sollen sie der „Migrationsbehörde“ übergeben werden. Die von der EU finanzierten Abschiebegefängnisse und Lager in Libyen sind berüchtigt wegen Folter, Misshandlungen und willkürlicher Haftdauer.
Libyan vessel picks up Syrian migrants in international waters

A Libyan oil tanker today rescued 174 Syrian migrants in international waters off the Italian coast.Libyan naval spokesman Colonel Ayoub Omar Qassem confirmed tonight to the Libya Herald that the operation had been conducted in cooperation with the Italian coastguard.All the migrants were taken aboard the unnamed tanker, which is understood to be used to take crude from Libya’s offshore Bouri oilfield to Italy. The vessel will be returning the Syrians to Libya, where they will be handed over to the immigration authorities.

„[…] E’ accaduto un anno e mezzo fa quando, il 3 aprile 2012 il ministro Cancellieri ha firmato a Tripoli un accordo bilaterale con il consiglio di transizione libico che autorizzava le autorità italiane ad intercettare i richiedenti asilo e a riconsegnarli ai soldati libici. Dell’accordo non si sa niente per tre mesi. A giugno Amnesty International solleva il caso rivelando la mancanza di impegni sul fronte dei rifugiati. “Non sono neppure citati nell’accordo”, denunciava l’allora portavoce dell’alto commissariato Onu Laura Boldrini. Nel giro di poche ora il ministro Terzi è costretto a fornire rassicurazioni senza però negare la circostanza o assumere impegni vincolanti. Del resto il tema era scottante per l’Italia.

04.01 Zoé Genot (Ecolo-Groen) : Monsieur le président, madame la secrétaire d’État, ce sujet est un peu compliqué, car l’agence Frontex a un statut particulier : en la matière, ce sont les États qui décident de collaborer entre eux.
Le problème du contrôle parlementaire se pose clairement. En effet, lorsque les députés européens interrogent au sujet de Frontex au niveau européen, on leur répond qu’il s’agit d’une agence et que ce sont les États nationaux qui collaborent entre eux. C’est donc au sein des parlements nationaux qu’il faut exercer un contrôle à cet égard. Cependant, nous ne sommes pas très outillés pour ce faire. J’espère, grâce à ces questions, pouvoir mieux cerner le cadre exact dans lequel on peut mieux travailler avec cette agence Frontex.
