UN says most of those fleeing South Sudan are women and children, including survivors of violent attacks.

The number of refugees from South Sudan has passed one million after renewed violence in July forced thousands to flee to neighbouring countries, creating one of the world’s worst humanitarian disasters, according to the United Nations.

South Sudan, the world’s youngest nation, has now joined „Syria, Afghanistan and Somalia as countries which have produced more than a million refugees“, Leo Dobbs, spokesman for the UN refugee agency, the UNHCR, said on Friday.

Il 4 agosto il Governo Italiano firmava un accordo con la dittatura sudanese alla presenza del capo della Polizia Gabrielli e dei rappresentanti del Ministero dell’Interno e degli Affari Esteri.

Si tratta di un accordo di polizia, memorandum of understanding, formula già adottata nel 2015 con il Gambia, altra dittatura africana. L’accordo è stato firmato senza essere presentato nè ratificato dalle Camere e il contenuto resta ad oggi ancora segreto, in flagrante violazione dell’articolo 80 della Costituzione che prevede che«le Camere autorizzano con legge la ratifica dei trattati internazionali che sono di natura politica…o importano oneri alle finanze…».

Gli accordi segreti tra Europa e dittatori africani per combattere l’immigrazione

L’Europa cerca di salvarsi dall’ondata di migranti affidandosi ai regimi africani, corrotti, autoritari e cleptocrati. Un grave errore paragonabile al tentativo di combattere la mafia alleandosi alla camorra. Il “Processo di Khartoum”, il groviglio di regole e accordi con i regimi del continente nero, sbandierato come la chiave che avrebbe risolto il problema biblico, mostra tutte le sue falle e, se i governanti europei avessero le idee chiare, dovrebbero abbandonarlo immediatamente. Rischia infatti di dimostrarsi catastrofico per le sorti dell’Europa, per quelle degli africani in fuga e di aggravare i problemi dovuti alla continua violazione dei diritti umani che affliggono l’Africa.

A group of 48 Sudanese migrants are back in Sudan, after Italy delivered them to Khartoum last week with seemingly no questions asked.

According to eyewitnesses, Italian police detained the Sudanese from Ventimiglia, a border town near France, and then loaded them on two buses and deported them from Turin-Caselle Airport via a chartered EgyptAir flight.

“I saw two buses full of Sudanese youth being forcibly relocated,” said Musa Ibrahim, a Sudanese human rights activist and eyewitness based in Italy.

Ali, one of the Sudanese forcefully deported, described their arrest. They were held in an underground parking garage, hands bound. Sudanese authorities identified them and then placed them on a plane to Sudan’s capital, Khartoum. Upon arrival, Sudanese authorities beat Ali to the point of being unable to lie down, he said. He is now in hiding and does not know the status of the other Sudanese deported.

Über den richtigen Umgang mit Menschen auf der Flucht wird nicht nur in Deutschland seit einem Jahr intensiv gestritten. Hier kommen mittlerweile weniger Flüchtlinge an als 2015. Dazu haben Abkommen mit der Türkei und Staaten in Nordafrika beigetragen. Dennoch sind sich CDU und CSU in vielen Fragen der Flüchtlingspolitik auch weiterhin uneins. „Je restriktiver die Zuwanderungspolitik ist, desto großzügiger muss die Bekämpfung der Fluchtursachen sein“, betonte CSU-Chef Horst Seehofer bei der CSU-Klausur am Samstag – und liegt zumindest damit auf einer Linie mit CDU-Chefin Angela Merkel.

“Il rimpatrio dei sudanesi è stato fatto nel pieno rispetto di un accordo tra la polizia italiana e quella del Sudan”. Lo ha dichiarato il ministro dell’Interno Angelino Alfano a margine di un incontro che lo ha visto tra i relatori del Forum Ambrosetti a Cernobbio.

Il 24 agosto scorso 48 africani sono stati prelevati a Ventimiglia e con un volo da Torino sono stati trasferiti a Khartoum, capitale del Sudan. Di fronte a una procedura, quella dei rimpatri collettivi, vietata dalla convenzione europea sui diritti dell’uomo, realtà come Amnesty International e Caritas hanno denunciato la vicenda e le violazioni del diritto internazionale.

Quarantotto migranti provenienti dal Sudan, fermi a Ventimiglia nella speranza di passare il confine e raggiungere i propri familiari, sono stati rimpatriati oggi. Il volo charter, destinato alla capitale Khartoum, è stato operato da Egyptair. Secondo le informazioni trapelate nella tarda serata di ieri, il volo doveva partire alle 12.45 dall’aeroporto di Milano Malpensa, dove quell’ora sono arrivati alcuni manifestanti per esprimere solidarietà ai migranti, ma il volo sarebbe invece partito dall’aeroporto di Torino-Caselle intorno alle 13. Si tratta della prima espulsione diretta di questo genere: “Dei ragazzi partiti con quell’aereo ne conoscevamo bene due”, spiegano a ilfattoquotidiano.it alcuni attivisti giunti a Malpensa da Ventimiglia. Ci dicono i nomi dei migranti, ci raccontano le loro storie: “Fino a ieri erano al Centro della Croce Rossa, si sentivano al sicuro e stavano preparandosi per la richiesta di asilo”.

„Äthiopien erlebt derzeit einen starken Zustrom an Flüchtlingen die vor der Gewalt im Südsudan fliehen. Zuvor hatten Regierungstruppen die Rebellenhochburg Nasir in der Region Greater Upper Nile, eingenommen.

Seit Samstag haben über 11.000 Menschen die Grenze in die äthiopische Stadt Burubiey, eine kleine, abgelegene Grenzgemeinde am Ufer des Baro- Flusses, überquert. Der Baro-Fluss markiert die Grenze zwischen dem Südsudan und Äthiopien.

Die ankommenden Flüchtlinge berichteten UNHCR, dass viele weitere Menschen auf der südsudanesischen Seite der Grenze versammelt sind und auf eines der wenigen Fährboote warten. Die ankommenden Flüchtlinge, alle sind ethnische Nuer, berichteten UNHCR außerdem, dass Tausende weitere aus Nasir, 30 km von der Grenze entfernt, flüchten.
