Invitation to Freiburg

Dear comerades,

Some months ago, international refugee and sans-papiers movements started to organize together a european wide protest march or caravan to Brussels. The outcome of the preperation meetings until today is the organisation of decentralized actions regarding the migratory- and assylum policies in Europe, and the mobilization for the protest march.

The campaign started officially on the 18th of december, global day of action against racism, for the rights of refugees, migrants and displaced people.

This time, the Berlin refugee strike group is organizing the next preperation meeting in Freiburg. We therefore invite all self-organizations or initiatives of refugee and sans-papiers in Europe to join this meeting. It will take place on the 4th and 5th of January 2014 in the KTS Freiburg, in Baselerstr. 103, 79100 Freiburg im Breisgau and it will start on Saturday at 1pm. One of the crucial points to be discussed on this meeting will be weather we arrive in Brussels in may for the European parliament elections or in June for the European migration summit. See bellow the proposal of topics for the meeting. The sleeping places and meals will be organized by the Berlin group.

Proposal for a structure:

• Friday and Saturday : arrival

Saturday

until 1 pm: arrival and snacks

• 1-2 pm: welcoming, short presentation, short introduction of the actual situation of the movements in the different places
• 2-4 pm: discussion and decision about the time of the march/caravan (when does it starts)
• 4-5 pm: break with food
• 5-9 pm: Image and concept of the caravan/march (mass-mobilisation?, who to adress? Bus?, walking?, Demonstrations?, actions?, how media-work?, etc.), Action ideas & where the march/caravan starts

Sunday

• 9-10 am: breakfast
• 10-11 am: presentation & discussion about Slogan and Logo & Name/concept of our network, decisions
• 11-12 am: timetable until the caravan/march (next steps, action-ideas, further meetings) should be a collection of ideas – preparation of ideas beforehand!
• 12-2 pm: building and defining tasks of working groups (infrastructure, action, media, communication, calls, mobilisation etc.)
• 2-3 pm: break and food
• 3-4 pm: How to cross borders without papers or with insecure residence status? (legal advices, networking and exchange of experiences)
• • 4-5 pm: closing round, missing points

Chers camarades,

Il y a quelques mois, divers mouvements de réfugiés et de sans papiers ont commencé à organiser ensemble une grande marche vers Bruxelles. L’état d’avancement des réunions jusqu’à présent en est à l’organisation d’actions décentralisées contre les politiques migratoires et d’asile en Europe et à l’organisation de la mobilisation pour la marche. Cette campagne européenne a officiellement commencé le 18 décembre, lors de la journée mondiale d’action contre le racisme, pour les droits des réfugiés, migrants et personnes déplacées. Le groupe de réfugiés grévistes de Berlin Oranienplatz organise la prochaine réunion internationale de préparation à Fribourg. Nous invitons donc chaleureusement toutes les initiatives ou auto-organisations de réfugiés, migrants et sans-papiers à participer à cette prochaine réunion.

Elle aura lieu les 4 et 5 Janvier 2014 au KTS Freiburg situé Baselerstr. 103, 79100 Freiburg im Breisgau et commencera le samedi à 13 heures. L’un des points cruciaux à discuter lors de cette réunion sera la date d’arrivée à Bruxelles, en mai pour les élections au Parlement européen ou

en Juin pour le sommet européen sur la migration. Vous trouverez ci-dessous la proposition d’ordre du jour pour la réunion. Les lieux d’hébergement et les repas seront organisés par le groupe berlinois.

• 16-17 h : pause repas
• 17 – 21 h : Idées d’actions et discussion sur l’image et le concept de la caravane / marche (mobilisation de masse ? à qui s’adresser exactement ? Moyen de transport : bus ? marche ? manifestations ? actions ? comment travailler avec la presse ? Etc.), idées d’actions sur la marche / caravane, lieu de départ

• 9-10 h : petit-déjeuner
• 10-11 h : présentation et discussion sur les slogans et le logo, nom / concept de notre réseau
• 11-12 h : calendrier jusqu’au début de la caravane / marche (prochaines étapes, idées d’actions, autres réunions) Celles-ci devraient constituer une collection d’idées sur comment planifier les prochaines actions et la préparation
• 12-14 h : construction et définition des tâches des groupes de travail (groupe « infrastructure », action, médias et communication, appels, mobilisation, etc )
• 14-15 h : pause repas
• 15-16 h : Comment traverser les frontières sans passeport ou avec un droit de résidence précaire ? (conseils juridiques, contactes et échange d’expériences )
• 16-17 h : table ronde de clôture, points manquants

Pochi mesi fa , vari movimenti di rifugiati e clandestini hanno cominciò ad organizzare insieme una grande marcia verso Bruxelles. Lo stato dell lavoro ad oggi è stata l’organizzazione d’azioni decentrati contra le politiche di migrazione e asilo in Europa e l’organizzazione della marcia o carovana. La campagna è iniziata ufficialmente il 18 dicembre, giornata di azione globale contro il razzismo, per i diritti dei rifugiati, migranti e sfollati. Il gruppo di rifugiati da Berlino Oranienplatz

organizzare la prossima riunione la preparazione Fribourg internazionale. Invitiamo pertanto calorosamente tutte le iniziative o auto-organizzazione di rifugiati e sans a partecipare a questo incontro.

Si svolgerà il 4 e 5 Gennaio 2014 KTS Freiburg Baselerstr . 103, 79100 Freiburg im Breisgau e inizierà il Sabato alle 13 ore. Ci sarà crucial da discutere a questo punto di incontro : l’arrivo a

Bruxelles nel maggio per le elezioni al Parlamento europeo, o giugno per il incontro europeo dei presidenti sulla migrazione. Piu avanti è riportato l’ordine del giorno proposto per la riunione.

L’alloggiamento ed i pasti sono organizzati per il grupo da Berlin.

• 17 – 21: Idee d’azione e discussione sulla immagine e il concetto della carovana / marcia ( mobilitazione di massa ? con chi è rivolto ? Bus? Camminare? eventi? azioni? come trattare il contatto con i media, ecc ), per azione / caravan, dove inizierà

• 10-11: presentazione e discussione di slogan e logo, nome / concetto del nostro network
