Am heutigen Sonntagmorgen hat das Schiff „Diciotti“ der italienischen Küstenwache die Bootsflüchtlinge übernommen, die das US-Kriegsschiff „Trenton“ am vergangenen Dienstag gerettet hatte. An Bord der „Diciotti“ befinden sich jetzt 523 Bootsflüchtlinge. Darunter sind auch die des NGO-Rettungsschiffs „Lifeline“, sowie ein Toter. Die „Diciotti“ soll zunächst noch in internationalen Gewässern bleiben, bis ihr ein italienischer Hafen zugewiesen wird. Es wird wichtig sein, die Überlebenden, die das US-Kriegsschiff Trenton geborgen hat, nach Landung zu den zahlreichen Ertrunkenen ihrer Schiffskatastrophe sowie zu den 12 geborgenen Toten zu befragen, die die US-Marines später wieder ins Mittelmeeer geworfen haben.
Die Bootsflüchtlinge des NGO-Rettungsschiffs „Aquarius“, die verteilt auf drei Schiffen am morgigen Sonntag im spanischen Valencia ankommen werden, erhalten eine Aufenthaltsgenehmgung aus humanitären Gründen. Die erste Frist von einem Monat ist verlängerbar, die Aufenthaltsverlängerungen sollen „sensibel“ gehandhabt werden, so die spanische Regierung. – Eine ähnliche Regelung wäre auch in Deutschland möglich, wenn ein Transfer von Boat-people aus dem zentralen Mittelmeer hierher gelingt.

- Una vez caducado el permiso, que podrá ser prorrogado en casos puntuales, los migrantes del Aquarius podrán ser expulsados si no han pedido asilo u otro tipo de protección contemplada en la ley

Cities of Solidarity and Refuge against the Barbarity of Racism and closed Borders
We are human rights defenders, trade unionists, precarious workers, activists, mayors, lawyers and researchers. We belong to migrant communities, non-governmental organisations, and church groups. We are self-organised groups, individuals and institutions. We live in small and big cities, in communities that welcome newcomers and find ways to live in common. We come together because we want to build and spread transnational structures of solidarity for an open society with equal rights for everybody. What brings us together is a refusal of the racist and authoritarian drift carried by many governments, national parties and movements across Europe and beyond.
Toward Transnational Structures of Solidarity – Safe Harbours Now!
We know all too well that rescue at sea is not the solution to migrants dying on their journeys to Europe. Nobody should have to risk their lives to travel somewhere. But we also know that, in the current situation, we need search and rescue missions, and we know that they depend on ‘safe harbours’, whether these are physical docklands on the coast or just inland communities offering refuge. This is why we want our cities to become safe harbours, which we define as follows, beyond the framework of existing legal definitions and arrangements:
1) A Safe Harbour is an open space, where people are welcomed and assisted regardless of their origins, race, gender and class. It is a place that is open to the city, where civil society actors can enter and monitor the situation.
2) A Safe Harbour is a disobedient space, where voices are heard that denounce racist agitation, any attempt to block arrivals, and any policy of deterrence.
3) A Safe Harbour is a space where human rights are respected, where people are not exposed to the risk of torture, persecution, or inhuman and degrading treatments.
4) A Safe Harbour is a space where the right to mobility is enacted, where people are granted the possibility to stay but also to move on.
5) A Safe Harbour is a place where neither migrants nor those who stand in solidarity with them are criminalised – neither for driving the boat on which they travelled, nor for rescuing people in distress at sea, neither for giving migrants independent information, nor for helping them to continue their journey.
We want to turn our cities into spaces of inclusion, not exclusion, of refuge and sanctuary, not deterrence. We struggle for communities of welcome and against those of segregation. As a new alliance, we want to foster intra-municipal and trans-national solidarity that allows people to move freely from their first place of disembarkation to other destinations within and beyond the country where they first landed, beyond any hotspot-, Dublin- and relocation system.
Open the harbours now! Open the cities! End the death of migrants at sea!

El director de Médicos Sin Fronteras, MSF, en España, Daniel Noguera, ha rogado esta mañana en València que todos los migrantes que llegarán mañana en tres barcos, entre estos el Aquarius, puedan acogerse al estatus de refugiados. “Esta gente viene de un país, Libia, en el que han sufrido mucho y de vivir situaciones muy peligrosas, todos deben tener derecho a pedir asilo”. Noguera ha mostrado su esperanza en que este episodio del Aquarius suponga un giro radical de la política europea “para parar este escenario mediterráneo de mortalidad”.
Die westlibysche sogenannte Küstenwache, seit Jahren von Italien und der EU finanziell, materiell und mit Ausbildung unterstützt, unterstand seit mindestens 2015 westlibyschen Warlords, die ein Doppelspiel trieben: Einerseits bewachten sie die italienischen ENI-Petroanlagen, und italienisches Geld floss in ihre Taschen; sie griffen Seenot-Rettungsschiffe an, ließen sogar auf sie schießen und sind für den Tod zahlreicher Boat-people auf See direkt verantwortlich; abgefangene Boat-people brachten sie zurück in ihre KZs. Andererseits organisierten sie einen Teil der Abfahrten der Boat-people und verdienten damit zusätzlich. Als der ehemalige italienische Innenminister Minniti ab Mitte 2017 ihren italienischen Sold drastisch erhöhen ließ, verwandelten sie sich faktisch in eine Miliz der Festung Europa: Sie ließen die Boat-people nach Möglichkeit nicht mehr abfahren und fingen aufs Meer Richtung Europa Geflohene systematisch ab. Nun setzte die UNO diese Warlords auf die schwarze Liste und belegte sie mit Sanktionen: Der Rat der EU musste sich diesen Sanktionen jetzt anschließen.

Das NGO-Rettungsschiff „Lifeline“ hat vor der libyschen Küste 118 Boat-people gerettet, unter ihnen 14 Frauen und vier Kleinkinder und ein Neugeborenes. Dem vorbeifahrenden Frachter „Viking Amber“ haben sie die Geretteten übergeben. Unterdessen hetzt der italienische Innenminister weiter gegen die Rettungs-NGOs: „Sie werden nicht in Italien an Land gehen.“

Dopo Aquarius, ora tocca a Lifeline e Seefuchs. Alla vigilia dell’approdo a Valencia della nave con oltre 600 migranti a bordo, il ministro dell’Interno Matteo Salvini non cambia registro e annuncia lo stesso trattamento per altre due imbarcazioni di organizzazioni non governative che non battono bandiera italiana: porti chiusi. Il leader leghista lo ha scritto sulla sua pagina Facebook, ribadendo la linea di fermezza dell’Italia.

Die gestern den gesamten Tag oft wiederholte Angabe, dass sich das Kriegsschiff vor der sizilianischen Hafenstadt Augusta befunden habe, soll eine Fehlmeldung sein. Die Anlandung der Überlebenden der Schiffskatastrophe, die wahrscheinlich sehr vielen Mitfahrenden das Leben gekostet hat, soll in der Nacht von Samstag auf Sonntag stattfinden.

Child refugees are being abused, detained and illegally sent back to Italy by French border guards, according to a new report from Oxfam.
Some children as young as 12 were being held overnight in cells without food, water or blankets, or access to an official guardian, the report states.
These conditions are contrary to French and European Union (EU) law.
French police routinely stop unaccompanied children and put them on trains back to Italy after altering their paperwork, either to make them appear older or to make it look as though they want to be sent back, the report states.

Il giudice ha disposto anche il sequestro preventivo di due vigneti e di un oliveto. I terreni sequestrati dalla Polizia saranno confiscati dallo Stato, perché utilizzati per compiere il reato di sfruttamento della manodopera
L’ultima storia della schiavitù del terzo millennio arriva dalla Sicilia. Lavoravano per 3 euro all’ora nelle campagne di Marsala e di Mazara del Vallo, ricevevano pane duro a pranzo e a cena, venivano sfruttati anche per 12 ore al giorno e dovevano rivolgersi ai loro sfruttatori chiamandoli padroni, gli immigrati, clandestini e regolari, reclutati da due agricoltori di Marsala (Trapani). I due, padre e figlio, rispettivamente di 68 e 35 anni, sono stati arrestati oggi dalla Polizia. Per loro il gip di Marsala ha disposto i domiciliari con l’accusa di sfruttamento della manodopera aggravato e in concorso. Il giudice ha disposto anche il sequestro preventivo di due vigneti e di un oliveto. I terreni sequestrati dalla Polizia saranno confiscati dallo Stato, perché utilizzati per compiere il reato di sfruttamento della manodopera.
