Unos 150 inmigrantes han intentado entrar en Melilla en un nuevo asalto masivo a la valla fronteriza aunque solamente 15 consiguieron su objetivo. Pocas horas antes, unos 700 inmigrantes distribuidos en dos grupos trataron de acceder a la ciudad aunque ninguno lo consiguió por el despliegue policial. Al parecer, los inmigrantes „agredieron con piedras y palos a los guardias civiles“.

Members of the Libyan Air Force have apparently refused to obey orders to bomb an oil tanker that has been loading oil illegally from the Es-sider oil export terminal.
A Ministry of Defence official in Tripoli, speaking on condition of anonymity, told the Libya Herald that the Air Force did not want to attack the terminal for a number of reasons.

Italian oil giant ENI contributes around half of the country’s hydrocarbon production at present, and generates essential power to shore up the national grid, according to Prime Minister Ali Zeidan.
Speaking to ENI’s CEO Paolo Scaroni in Rome today, Zeidan emphasised the importance of the company, both historically and at present. The Italian firm has been in Libya since 1959 and is the largest international hydrocarbon company operating in the country. It produces around 230,000 barrels of oil per day (b/d), according to the latest company figures.

Varios cameruneses miran la televisión en un apartamento en el barrio de Bujalef en Tánger y se recuperan de las heridas causadas el martes cuando intentaron cruzar la frontera de Ceuta, en el que supuso el mayor asalto en los últimos meses a esta ciudad española.
Un joven inmigrante subsahariano, de entre 18 y 20 años, ha fallecido este mediodía después de haber sido rescatado en aguas del Estrecho de Gibraltar cuando pretendía, a bordo de una embarcación neumática hinchable, alcanzar las costas de Tarifa (Cádiz) junto a nueve inmigrantes más. El joven ha fallecido mientras era trasladado al centro de salud de la localidad a causa de una parada cardiorespiratoria provocada por una hipotermia severa. La víctima fue rescatada a las 9.45 y trasladada al Centro de Internamiento de Extranjeros (CIE) tarifeño a bordo del helicóptero de Salvamento Marítimo, Helimer 206. Los otros nueve subsaharianos que le acompañaban a bordo de la lancha neumática fueron atendidos por la Cruz Roja de Tarifa.
Según fuentes de Salvamento Marítimo, en el momento del rescate, el viento de Levante soplaba con gran intensidad en la zona y el oleaje era considerable. La embarcación en la que viajaban los inmigrantes estaba siendo buscada desde primeras horas de la mañana ya que, pasadas las 8.30, se recibió una llamada en el Centro Zonal de Salvamento de Tarifa que alertaba de la existencia de la expedición clandestina, en aguas del Estrecho. Una hora y cuarto después era localizada la patera. […]“
