Wir haben unsere Demonstration Samstag, den 03. Mai 2014, um 14 Uhr vom Hermannplatz gestartet, um unsere Rechte einzufordern. Vom Hermannplatz sind wir an der besetzten Schule in der Ohlauer Strasse vorbeigegangen, von der besetzten Schule zum Oranienplatz und von dort an zum Alexanderplatz an der Weltzeituhr, um in den Hungerstreik zu treten. Die Polizei hat uns mitgeteilt, dass wir dort nicht bleiben dürfen und hat uns dahin begleitet, wo wir gerade sind. Weiterlesen »

I spoke with two of the three other teenagers who were in the lorry with him: the lorry was going in the wrong direction; they tried to call for the attention of the driver but he did not hear; Mengs wanted to jump; the others told him not to do it because it is too dangerous but he did not listen; he jumped and he died. The other boys travelled further for 1 1/2 hours; later the lorry stopped and they went down, thinking he was still alive; while walking back they were picked up by police who told them their friend had died. They are very upset and in shock.

Trace une demi-courbe au stylo. Marque par des rectangles les quatre postes douaniers qui constituent autant de points de faiblesse à ses yeux. Puis assène, sûr de son effet : « Ce n’est pas la frontière de l’Espagne, c’est celle de l’Europe… »

Gegen die Kriminalisierung von Refugee-Protest

Im Sommer 2013 wurden acht Personen – einige von ihnen Aktivisten der Refugeebewegung – festgenommen.

Diese repressiven Maßnahmen fanden unmittelbar nach den brutalen Abschiebungen von anderen Refugeeaktivisten nach Pakistan statt. Durch das medial kolportierte Bild des “grausamen Schleppers” gelang es, die relativ großen Proteste gegen diese Abschiebungen zu schwächen, da die Bewegung in den Augen vieler delegitimiert war. Bereits wenig später stellten sich die absurden Geschichten, die durch die Medien gingen (Millionengewinne der “Schlepper”, Grausamkeiten gegenüber “Geschleppten”), als Lüge bzw. gezielte Diffamierung heraus. Was übrig bleibt, ist der Vorwurf der Staatsanwaltschaft, dass für Personen ohne Papiere Zugtickets gekauft und Mitfahrgelegenheiten kontaktiert worden wären.

Two immigrants were found dead and 36 rescued after a new shipwreck in the Aegean, in the area north of Samos. The exact number of immigrants aboard the two boats that capsized is still unknown. According to the rescued immigrants, up to 65 people were trying to enter Fortress Europe on the two boats.

Solidarity beyond boders: from the May of solidarity to the march for freedom, towards new transnational struggles

Between 15th and 25th of May decentralized actions will take place against the programs of austerity and privatizations, against exploitation and precarization. 17th of May will see simultanous mobilisations in many european cities in the perspective of a transnational movement for democracy, solidarity and commons beyond borders. One day later, at 18th of May, the march for freedom will start in Strassbourg. This protest against the EU-borderregime is initiated by an alliance of migrants and refugee groups from various european countries. After more than 450 km across the borders of several European countries the march will reach Brussels on 20th of June. There, a week of actions will follow against the EU migration summit under the slogans of equality, dignity and social justice. The Brussels program includes a main demonstration on 26th of June and an alternative summit about the future of the migrationrelated struggles on 27th of June.
