On 19th of November, refugees in Harmanli have gone on a hunger strike in the “closed type” camp of Harmanli, among them more than 100 people, including children. Refugees tried to prevent a truck to enter the camp. Several refugees in Busmantsi and Lyubimets are striking with them.

Khalid, syrischer Flüchtling, seit 51 Tagen im Abschiebeknast Lampedusas, wird dort wie zahlreiche Überlebende der Schiffskatastrophe des 03.10.2013 nach wie vor festgehalten. Alle anderen Flüchtlinge wurden gestern in andere Abschiebeknäste Italiens verlegt.
Khalid ist der Autor der Handy-Aufnahmen der Desinfektionsprozedure im Lager Lampedusa: Alle Insassen mussten sich wöchentlich nackt in einer Schlange draußen im Innenhof aufstellen und sich mit Desinfektionsmittel abspritzen lassen. Die Anwälte Khalids verlangen, dass Khalid sofort verlegt und gegen mögliche Angriffe geschützt wird.

No more apartheid. Chiudere i CIE è possibile, a Lampedusa, a Bologna, in Europa
Sembra davvero che la vergogna dei centri di detenzione amministrativa sia finalmente riuscita a rompere il velo dell’indifferenza e a conquistare l’attenzione della politica e dell’opinione pubblica.
Mentre a Bologna si condannano come violenti gli attivisti di spazi sociali e associazioni che nella giornata mondiale per i migranti sono stati aggrediti con brutalità dalle forze dell’ordine impazzite per una scritta mentre manifestavamo contro la riapertura del CIE, a Ponte Galeria i sans-papiers portano avanti la loro protesta estrema e a Lampedusa si cerca di riparare allo scandalo della disinfestazione praticata sui corpi denudati dei migranti, tra i quali i superstiti del naufragio più grosso, quello del 3 ottobre.

Protesta choc nel Cie di Roma: in cinque si cuciono la bocca
Protagonista un gruppo di migranti maghrebini reclusi da un mese, che hanno usato il metallo di un accendino e il filo di una vecchia coperta. Lampedusa e adesso Ponte Galeria: viene a galla la drammatica situazione nei centri di identificazione per immigrati, vere e proprie galere etniche.

Migration: Malta loses European Court appeals on shorter detention periods
Malta has lost a final appeal against two European Court of Human Rights judgments demanding that migrants are kept in detention for shorter periods and that conditions at closed centres be improved.
The original judgments – in which Malta was also fined €60,000 – were handed down by the ECHR in July but they were not final as either party had three months to request that the case be referred to the Grand Chamber of the Court.
The government challenged the decisions, requesting a referral to the Grand Chamber in October but the request was rejected last week, meaning the judgments are now final and legally bind the government to pay the penalties and move to implement the ECHR’s recommendations.

Israeli Government declares: asylum-seekers currently detained under the Anti-Infiltration Law will not be released
The new Anti-Infiltration Law proposal was presented to the Knesset’s Interior Affairs Committee this morning. According to it, despite the High Court decision, abrogating the Anti-Infiltration Law and instructing the authorities to examine and release the 1,800 asylum seekers according to the Entry to Israel Law, about 1,200 of the detainees will not be released.
