We have informed you already about the ongoing protests of refugees in the so called pre-integration-camp in Bicske/ Hungary. We expect the OIN (Office of Immigration and Nationality) to plan the eviction of the refugees from Bicske already this week. We want to invite you to protest via joining a Fax- and Email-campaign and/or even to think about actions in front of the Hungarian embassies.

Australia: Latest refugee boat disaster leaves 58 dead By Mark Church 23 April 2013 An estimated 58 refugees from Afghanistan and Pakistan have died in another asylum seeker boat tragedy in the waters between Australia and Indonesia. It is believed that the boat was carrying 72 men and young boys, and that only 14 survived after their boat sank in heavy seas. No one was rescued for more than 24 hours. Le Centre national de l’informatique et des statistiques (CNIS), dépendant des Douanes nationales, a noté dans son récent bilan, relatif aux importations de blé, qu’une baisse de 6,1% a été enregistrée par rapport à la même période de l’année passée. En termes financiers, la facture qui a été de l’ordre de 486,06 millions de dollars durant le premier trimestre 2012 a été estimée, durant les 3 derniers mois, à 456,5 millions de dollars. En volume, les importations de blés tendre et dur ont atteint 1,237 million de tonnes durant le 1er trimestre 2013 contre 1,449 million durant la même période 2012, soit une baisse de 14,6%.

Seit Jahren sind die Arbeits- und Lebensbedingungen in der Phosphatförderregion bei Gafsa heftig umkämpft. Im 1. Jahresdrittel 2013 ist die Phosphatförderung auf 20% seiner Kapazitäten gefallen. 15.000 Arbeitsplätze sollen in Gefahr sein.

Das libysche Justizsystem hat sich seit Ghadhafis Sturz kaum verändert. Eine Reform aber ist notwendig, um einen Rechtsstaat aufzubauen und die Selbstjustiz der Milizen zu bekämpfen. Laut der International Crisis Group betreiben bewaffnete Gruppen in Libyen immer noch eigene Gefängnisse, in denen angebliche Gefolgsleute Ghadhafis ohne rechtliche Grundlage festgehalten, gefoltert oder gar umgebracht werden. Als Grund für diese Selbstjustiz nennt ein Bericht der Organisation unter anderem die fehlenden Reformen und das tiefe Misstrauen gegenüber dem heutigen Justizapparat .[…]
