Les années se suivent, se ressemblent et s’assemblent au Maghreb. Les revendications d’avant-hier, d’hier et d’aujourd’hui seront-elles celles de demain. L’histoire bégaie dans le ventre mou du Maghreb. Au Maroc, Al Hoceïma est une province jetée en bord de mer, avec pêche et tourisme pour sources de revenus. La mort suspecte d’un vendeur de poissons en octobre 2016 – broyé par le mécanisme de compactage d’une benne à ordures alors que la police venait de saisir sa marchandise – avait provoqué manifestations et heurts avec la police. Im Süden Tunesiens rumort es. Seit Wochen fordert eine große Prostestbewegung, an den Einnahmen aus der Ölförderung in der Region beteiligt zu werden. Nun kam es erstmals zu gewalttätigen Auseinandersetzungen.

Um nach Kamour zu gelangen, geht es die Landstraße Richtung libyscher Grenze entlang. Die Ortschaften haben hier pragmatische Namen. In „Brunnen Dreißig“, einem Weiler mit einem Dutzend Häuser, säumen ungefähr genauso viele informelle Wechselstuben aus Wellblech den Straßenrand, in friedlicher Koexistenz mit dem Posten der Nationalgarde am Ortseingang. Die letzten Kilometer führt eine holprige Piste mit Sandverwehungen durch die Wüstenlandschaft. Kamour selbst besteht aus einer Anlage des staatlichen Stromversorgers und einer Pumpstation der Öl-Pipeline, die sich durch die Wüste zieht. Weiterlesen »

TUNIS: Tunisian security forces on Saturday rescued 126 sub-Saharan migrants including seven pregnant women who had been trying to reach Europe from Libya, a Red Crescent official said. Fishermen had alerted the authorities to the presence of a vessel in distress off Ben Guerdane in southern Tunisia near the border with Libya, Dr Mongi Slim told AFP. Among the migrants were 48 women, seven of them pregnant, and three children. Those rescued were mainly from Nigeria, Mali and Gambia, and had set off from Libya, he added. They were taken to the Tunisian port of Zarzis to be given first aid before later being transferred to nearby Medenine, he said. Weiterlesen »

Tunisian security forces fired tear gas on Monday to disperse hundreds of protesters demanding jobs and a share in revenue from gas and oil companies, as weeks of unrest over jobs and funding in the country’s southern provinces escalated into violence.

Protesters briefly forced the closure of the Vana pumping station, one of several oil and gas stations impacted over the weekend, after the army allowed an engineer to shut it to avoid a confrontation.

Tataouine : nouveau tir de sommation pour repousser les manifestants

L’armée nationale a effectué un nouveau tir de sommation suite à la tentative des manifestants à El Kamour de s’accéder à l’unité de contrôle du pompage de gaz. 

D’importants renforts militaires viennent d’arriver sur place et la tension est palpable.

La ville de Tataouine connait aussi une suspension totale de la circulation après la fermeture des routes en signe de solidarité avec les manifestants a indiqué le correspondant de Mosaïque FM Habib Chaabani.

Ce guide est également disponible en version italienne et anglaise. Il sera présenté lors d’une conférence publique à Syracuse à l’occasion du Festival Sabir organisé notamment par l’association italienne ARCI (Associazione ricreativa culturale italiana). Today Friday May the 12th, the Global Fund for Human Rights (GFHR) will make a live tweeting of the launch of the Boats4People guide on the families of missing and deceased migrants in the Central Mediterranean as part of the Sabir Festival in Syracuse, Italy (Program of the festival here.)

On the occasion of the launching of this guide, the GFHR and Boats4People organize a public debate on approaches allowing migrant families to search for a close relative in Italy. The FDHM invited the Fundación para la Justicia y el Estado Democrático de Derecho from Mexico (www.fundacionjusticia.org) and the Equipo Argentino de Anthropologia Forense from Argentina (www.eaaf.org) to share their experience in supporting families with Search for their loved ones in Central America. Troops‘ deployment comes after protests erupt at industrial sites amid growing discontent over bad economic conditions.

Tunisia’s President Beji Caid Essebsi has ordered the army to protect the output of the country’s main resources following a wave of protests over unemployment and worsening economic conditions.

This is the first time that troops in Tunisia have been deployed to guard industrial installations, including phosphate, gas and oil production facilities, that are key to the national economy.

„It is a serious decision, but it must be applied to protect our resources,“ Essebsi said on Wednesday in a speech to the nation.

Les employés des compagnies pétrolières dans le désert de Tataouine ont lancé ce matin un appel aux sitinneurs dans la zone de  Kamour pour leur permettre de les laisser passer.

Les employés ont demandé leur évacuation de la zone car ils manquent de nourriture, d’eau et de médicaments outre la chaleur étouffante dans la région.

Dans une déclaration accordée à une radio privée, Walid Turki, un des employés a affirmé que leur situation est difficile et que certains de ses collègues n’arrivent pas à rejoindre leurs familles. Weiterlesen »

Grève générale à Tataouine en parallèle à la visite de Chahed (Photos)

Youssef Chahed, chef du gouvernement entame  ce jeudi 27 avril 2017 une visite au gouvernorat de Tataouine alors que les chômeurs de la région organisent une grève générale.

La région connait des tensions sur la base de réclamations sociales et économiques. Les manifestants réclament le développement et l’emploi. Des milliers d’entre eux ont choisi de se rendre à la région d’El Kamour au désert de Tataouine où le sit-in a été organisé il y a maintenant cinq jours.

Le passage frontalier de Dehiba-Wazen est aussi fermé pour le quatrième jour consécutif. Les manifestants attendent les mesures qui seront annoncés par le chef du gouvernement pour la région.

Selon le correspondant de Mosaïque FM dans la région Habib Chaabani, Chahed entamera sa visite par Beni Mhira  qui deviendra une délégation.
