64 Sub-Saharan immigrants have arrived in Motril Port
Among them 17 women, one pregnant, and six four year old children
They were located in a pneumatic boat five miles south of the Isle of Alborán
They were spotted by a merchant vessel at 22.30 last night and were rescued by the Coastguard vessel ‘Salvamar Hamal’, which took the immigrants to Motril port were they arrived at 3am this morning.
On their arrival the Red Cross was at hand to give first aid and some food, two of the travellers needed to be taken to the Santa Ana Hospital in Motril one with a dislocated limb and other was the pregnant woman.
They will stay at the police immigrant centre in the port, before being transferred to the Andalucía Internment Centre.
It’s the second boat to arrive on the Costa Tropical in 24 hours, eight Moroccan immigrants were found by the Guardia Civil, nine miles south of Castell de Ferro.
