Maroc : 21 immigrants interceptés au large de Sebta
La gendarmerie marocaine de sauvetage maritime a secouru 21 immigrants africains, dont 2 Maghrébins, qui se trouvaient à bord de trois bateaux au large de la côte de Sebta, rapporte EFE. Selon l’agence de presse espagnole, les premières interventions sont survenues dans les premières heures de ce matin, lorsque les officiers de la gendarmerie marocaine ont intercepté dans les eaux du détroit un bateau transportant neuf migrants subsahariens.Quelques instants après, la même unité est intervenue pour sauver une autre patera avec à bord dix immigrés, dont une femme, qui ont été tous transférés vers le port de Tanger.Enfin, deux immigrants nord-africains qui étaient à bord d’un radeau au large de Sebta ont été secourus ce lundi matin, vers 7h15, par le Salvamar Gadir, rapporte la même source.

Forgery of documents – who does it and how?
In the early morning of the 15th of September 2013 twelve refugees from Syria were rescued by the fisher boat Kapetan Stratis and the cargo ship YALKER (see earlier post). After this rescue operation and act of humanitarian support a vessel of the Greek Coast Guard took the rescued people in order to bring them to the Port of Mytilene (Lesvos). Local media took pictures, a video was uploaded on youtube. The Coast Guard utilised the brave work of the sailors to present themselves as life savers.

There are many refugees still living in that camp, without food, water and electricity, refusing the local resettlement. According to Unhcr there are only 130 people living in the camp, but refugees told us that there are at least 400 people there (rejected refugees,and refugees refusing the local resettlement). while others are currently living in the cities of Medenine and Ben Guerdane, and in Tunis.
