Secondo il sito de l‘Unione Sarda, i 550 immigrati imbarcati a bordo della nave Bourbon Argos di Medici Senza Frontiere avrebbero inscenato una rivolta durata fino a tarda notte quando hanno scoperto di essere diretti alla volta di Cagliari. Dopo una prima sosta a Trapani, dove ieri sera sono sbarcati alcuni profughi, la nave si è diretta verso la Sardegna ma ha dovuto invertire la rotta dopo le proteste dei passeggeri. Ora ha puntato la prua verso Reggio Calabria.

Bodies Wash up on Libyan Shore

As many as 100 bodies believed to be sub-saharan migrants have been found in the sea and the shores of the Tajoura, a coastal town about 10kms east of Tripoli, according to spokesman for the capital’s anti-immigration department. Details are still a bit sketchy but a the spokesman said there were women and children among the dead. He could not confirm their numbers or indicate their nationality. They are believed to be the victims of a shipwreck off Tajoura, which is known as a sending spot for migrants heading for Europe on boats. The bodies recovered in Tajoura are being transferred to a hospital in the capital. More details throughout the day.

Die EU hat die algerische Regierung vergeblich aufgefordert, einen Start- und Landeplatz für EU-Militärdrohnen gegen Boat-people im Rahmen des EU-Navfor-Med-Einsatzes in Westalgerien bei Ain Temouchent zur Verfügung zu stellen. Enrico Credendino, der Kommandant des EU-Navfor-Med-Einsatzes, unternimmt zur Zeit eine Werbetour durch Nordafrika.

Force navale de l’UE en Méditerranée : Bruxelles dépêche son Commandant à Alger

Bruxelles veut informer de samission en Méditerranée et envoie le Commandant italien de son opération navale, baptisée «Eu Navfor Med», faire le tour des ports. Il sera, aujourd’hui, à Alger, la première escale de sa tournée pour «informer les pays de la région, sur la nature des missions assignées à cette opération», selon le communiqué du ministère des Affaires étrangères.

12 «harraga» interceptés au large de Annaba

Douze jeunes gens qui tentaient d’émigrer, clandestinement, en traversant la Méditerranée à bord d’une embarcation de fortune, ont été interceptés, hier matin, par une patrouille des garde-côtes, apprend-on auprès du groupement territorial de ce corps. Ces «harraga», âgés de 19 à 24 ans et tous originaires de Annaba, avaient pris la mer vers 2h, à la plage d’El Chatt, dans la wilaya voisine d’El Tarf, précise-t-on, ajoutant que l’opération d’interception par une patrouille des garde-côtes a eu lieu à environ 13 miles, au large de ras El Hamra (Annaba) vers 4h. Les 12 jeunes personnes ont subi une visite médicale d’usage avant d’être présentés devant le procureur de la République, près le tribunal de Annaba pour tentative d’émigration clandestine, fait-on savoir de même source. Au moins 125 «harraga» ont été interceptés, dans des conditions analogues, depuis le début de l’année 2015, au large des côtes annabies.

Rescatan una patera al sur de Maspalomas con 34 personas

La embarcación había partido de Tan Tan el pasado jueves, 9 de julio, según informaciones manejadas por la Policía

Salvamento Marítimo ha rescatado este lunes unos 31 kilómetros al sur de Maspalomas (Gran Canaria) a una patera con 34 personas a bordo, según han informado a Efe fuentes de este servicio público. La patera había sido localizada desde el aire por el helicóptero Helimer 201 y ha sido auxiliada por la Salvamar Menkalinan.

Continuano le traversate a largo delle coste libiche, questa volta a morire sono stati 12 migranti. La Guardia Costiera ha recuperato i corpi e salvato 393 persone a circa 40 kilometri dalle coste della Libia

Sono stati recuperati 12 cadaveri a circa 40 miglia a nord della Libia, dopo che un gommone è quasi affondato con a bordo 106 persone. La centrale operativa della Guardia Costiera si è attivata inviando i pattugliatori d’altura Dattilo e Corsi e due motovedette salpate da Lampedusa. Appena giunta sul posto ha trovato altri tre gommoni oltre a quello “semi affondato”. Sono state tratte in salvo un totale di 393 persone. Un quarto gommone con a bordo altre 106 persone, tutte recuperate, è stato soccorso dalle due motovedette che pattugliavano la zona circostante alla ricerca di ulteriori dispersi.

Ferry for Freedom

In the face of migration policies that hamper millions of people in the world to move freely and to seek asylum in Europe without risking to die in the Mediterranean, the Tunisian association formed by the families of the Tunisian missing migrants, La Terre pour Tous, organizes on the 6th September FERRY FOR FREEDOM, an „illegal“ depart from the Tunisian coasts to  enact freedom of movement against the deadly effects of the Visa regime, demanding legal and free access to Europe, as claimed by the campaign “Ferry not Frontex”.

The boat will leave from Hammamet on the 6th of September and we ask all the people and associations in Europe and in Tunisia that struggle for freedom of movement and migrant rights to join and support the event.

„[…] Deutschland unterstützt Tunesiens Sicherheitssektor seit 2012, insbesondere hilft es beim Grenzschutz. Dazu zählen Ausbildungshilfen und technisches Equipment wie Schutzwesten und Nachtsichtgeräte, aber auch Technik zur Sprengstoffentschärfung und Seenotrettung. All das soll noch mal massiv ausgebaut werden. Für die nächsten Jahre stehen 100 Millionen Euro zur Verfügung, getragen vom Auswärtigen Amt und vom Verteidigungsministerium. Außerdem will Berlin beim Aufbau effektiver Polizeibehörden helfen. Hier wird sich das Bundesinnenministerium engagieren, unterstützt vom Bundeskriminalamt und von der Bundespolizei.

PM Seawatch rettet mehrere Boote aus Seenot

Sea-Watch rettet drei Flüchtlingsboote aus Seenot und fordert eine politische Lösung für die desolate Situation auf dem Mittelmeer, ein weiterer Rettungseinsatz läuft.

„Unser Schiff, das sich seit dem 05.07. auf seiner zweiten Einsatzfahrt vor der Libyschen Küste befindet, hat in den letzten Tagen drei Boote, in teils desolatem Zustand, mit insgesamt mehr als 250 Personen an Bord aus Seenot gerettet. Die Geflüchteten hatten teilweise keine Satellitentelefone an Bord und konnten keinen Notruf absetzen, obwohl sie sich in akuter Seenot befanden. Die Sea-Watch ist derzeit das einzige zivile Hilfs-Schiff in dem betreffenden Seegebiet und hat alle drei Rettungseinsätze koordiniert. Ein weiterer Einsatz läuft.
