Port de Calais : des grilles avenue Cousteau et bientôt sur la rocade

Les ouvriers de la société britannique Zaun continuent d’œuvrer autour du port.

Depuis le début du mois d’octobre, ils posent une seconde barrière autour du port de Calais afin d’en renforcer la sécurité. Ce qu’Emmaüs pointe comme le mur de la honte. Ce dispositif, annoncé en septembre par le ministre de l’Intérieur Bernard Cazeneuve et financé par le gouvernement britannique (15 millions d’euros), doit permettre d’empêcher les tentatives d’intrusion de migrants sur le port. « Le calendrier est respecté », indique-t-on de côté du port.

Yesterday, in Calais, the demontration for the support of migrants ans asylum seekers ended with installation in a new squat – an abandoned factory, after the police raid on 2 July that struck 600 foreigners, over 200 of which were in detention.
The militant.es who defend them suggest your organization to sign the release (attached) in hope that the level of support will prevent a police intervention against the squat.
Because the tense situation on the place (a device police standby around), your signature is expected very fast (the text should be made public as early as this afternoon).

Calais, l’impasse

EELV, le PCF et le PG, ainsi que de nombreuses associations, collectifs, engagés dans le soutien aux migrants, adressent une lettre ouverte à Manuel Valls et Bernard Cazeneuve sur la situation migratoire à Calais et aux environs, ainsi que sur le littoral de la Manche et de la Mer du Nord. Leur constat: « Rien n’a changé en matière de politique migratoire » depuis l’élection de François Hollande.

FROM THE MIGRANTS OF CALAIS TO THE FRENCH AND BRITISH AUTHORITIES

After the destruction of our camps and our occupation of the food distribution place, French authorities came two times to meet us. They announced us they will come again to meet us Thursday June 3. Nobody came and we are without any news from them.
